Privacy Policy

• Account information - your email and authentication details when you create an account.
• Resume content - the resumes you create or upload and the job descriptions you paste in.
• Usage data - basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the app is used (only with your consent).

To provide and improve the service: building, tailoring, scoring, and exporting your resume; maintaining your account; and, with consent, measuring product usage and showing ads that keep the app free.

When you use AI features, your resume content and the job description are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a tailored result. We do not sell your data, and we instruct providers to process it only to deliver the feature you requested.

The JustResume browser extension reads a job posting only when you ask it to - when you click its button, use the right-click menu or the keyboard shortcut, or when it shows its floating button on one of the job boards listed in its store description. It does not read pages in the background and it does not track your browsing.

These stay on your device, in the browser's extension storage, and are never sent to us:

• Your pasted resume text, if you save one in the extension's options for the offline match estimate.
• Your recently captured jobs, so the popup can re-open them.
• Your settings - the JustResume address it points at, and which resume you last matched against.

The match percentage is calculated on your device; the job posting is not uploaded to compute it. The extension contacts justresume.site for two things only: to check whether you are signed in, and - when you click Tailor or Save - to open a JustResume tab with the captured job, which is then handled as described above. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored.

We use essential cookies to run the app, and - only if you accept - analytics and advertising cookies (including Google AdSense). You can change your choice at any time from the consent banner.

Hosting and infrastructure, database/authentication, our AI provider (Anthropic), email delivery, and advertising (Google). Each processes data only as needed to provide their part of the service.

You can access, export, or delete your data, and delete your account, at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@justresume.site.

We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted.
