Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for that organisation.

JustResume helps you write, tailor, check and export resumes and cover letters, and keep track of your job applications. Many features work without an account. Some - such as saving to the cloud, the job tracker and AI features - need you to sign in.

The Service is currently free. We may add, change or remove features, and we may set reasonable limits on how much certain features (such as AI) can be used.

• You can create an account with an email address and password, or sign in with Google.
• Give accurate information, keep your password safe, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your Account page.

You keep ownership of everything you put into the Service, such as your resumes, cover letters, job descriptions and notes (“Your Content”). You give us a limited permission to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you - for example to save it, score it, export it, or send it to an AI provider when you use an AI feature.

You are responsible for Your Content. Make sure it is truthful and that you have the right to use it. Do not upload other people’s personal information without their permission.

Some features use third-party artificial-intelligence services to suggest, rewrite or generate text. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Always review it before you use it, and never present experience, qualifications or results you do not actually have.

Scores, keyword matches and suggestions are guidance only. We do not promise that using the Service will get you an interview, a job or any other result.

The browser extension reads a job posting only when you ask it to, and sends it to JustResume when you choose to tailor a resume or save a job. How it handles information is described in our Privacy Policy.

When using the Service, you must not:

• break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
• upload anything unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or that contains malware;
• try to get unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or the systems behind them;
• overload, scrape, or automate the Service in a way that disrupts it, or get around usage limits;
• copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.

The Service relies on and links to services run by others - for example Google for sign-in, AI providers, and the job boards the extension works with. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

We work to keep the Service running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of important documents - you can export your resumes, and download your data from your Account page, at any time.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users or the Service at risk, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

We may update these Terms. When we make a significant change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the Service. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where JustResume is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you live somewhere whose consumer-protection laws give you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply to you.
